Carraig and I have known each other our whole lives. Our parents went to high school together, we were on the same baseball team in elementary school, in the same class, his mom was my Sex Ed teacher, and we went to high school together. Before high school he was just the chunky kid in a Old Navy orange sweatshirt that made everyone laugh.
It wasn't until the summer of 2008 that we really got to know each other. We were both lifeguards at the High Desert Swimming Pool. I guess there is something about cleaning drains and saving lives that draws two people together. I usually played open gym basketball with the boys during the summer and that was when he really caught my eye. One day I told our mutual friend Tyler that I thought Carraig was cute, it was history from there. Since July 28, 2008 my heart has truly been filled with such joy there are no words to describe it. He means the world to me and I can't wait to start our lives together.
